Joining Gulp Divers

How much does membership cost?
'Gulp Divers' has devised a fee structure that requires a minimum club administration fee with diving activities like training and trips being self-financed.

New members requiring entry-level training will pay an increased sum in the first year to cover pool and equipment hire, air, training materials and instruction.

All open water instruction costs for trainee and qualified divers such as dive site entrance fees, boat fees, equipment hire and air is not covered within membership fees and is payable by the student. Training is however provided by members for members, free of charge, with the only requirement that trainees pay for materials required and as a gesture of goodwill, the instructors' air costs (and a warm drink after the dive always goes down well too!).

We are fortunate that the majority of our members are qualified BSAC Open Water and Assistant Advanced Instructors and Sports Diver and above training and BSAC Skill Development Courses (SDCs) is provided both on a structured basis and subject to demand (see the training page for further details).
